What the Future Holds
We have established contacts in Freetown, Sierra Leone, where plans are at an advanced stage for the setting up of a sister company and the possibility of a school for performing arts.
By the same token we have donated a significant percentage of the proceeds form our plays and other events to various individuals and groups in the theatre sector to help with their development.
The company has also been actively running workshops in conjunction with social groups and local councils aimed at underprivileged and displaced children.
Future projects include:
- Born to Lose -- a play by Shafume Garber which highlights the depths to which people can be driven by envy and the role of witchcraft in our society.
- A break through in internet TV - collaborating with the Production branch of The Rogee Corporation with a sitcom entitled peckham corner, Bom Sweh and various other sketches and musicals;
- The release on the big screen and DVD, films shot on location including I can't get you off my mind, you hole di ring, me hole di man and Fraid oo lek you.
Becoming a member is easy! All you need to do is exhibit symptoms of enthusiasm and dedication to the arts and the search inside the ''Kotoku'' begins!
